| Our Procedure |

Consultation
Your Racoon stylist will start with a consultation to ensure that the hair extensions you desire are suitable for your hair. Following the consultation your stylist will make a recommendation and personalise your extensions to suit your hair colour, length and texture to achieve the desired result. We use only the finest range of extensions; they are 100% premium human hair which mimics your natural hair perfectly.
Transformation
Your own hair will be deep cleansed using our uniquely formulated, Racoon Xtend Detox Shampoo. The hair is then sectioned. Individual strands of hair are blended into your natural hair to form each extension. Allowing your stylist complete flexibility to work with your natural hair and the extensions. Depending on the style, extensions can take as little as ½ hour. However for a full head of extensions, time can vary but an estimate is approx 2 ½ hours.
Once your extensions are completed you leave with added hair that moves and feels just like your own. Properly cared for, hair extensions can last for approximately three months. During this time we recommend that you visit our salon at least once a month so your stylist can check the bonds, rotate the extensions and replace any as necessary (cost for this service will vary).
Colour
Your colour should be updated or maintained prior to ordering your extensions. This enables us to colour match your extensions to the colour you require.
Removal
We advise removal after three months. As your natural hair grows, natural shedding will occur; therefore the bond will need to be removed and re- applied, just like re-growth with a colour. If you have had the extensions rotated you may be able to leave them in longer however your Racoon stylist will be able to consult on this. Removal must be done by your Racoon Stylist. Well-maintained extension hair can be re-applied; although the bonds and ends will need trimming so you will lose some length (cost for this service will vary).
New extensions can be applied immediately as the Racoon System does not damage your hair.
Racoon’s bonding material has been specially designed for our hair extensions so it’s simple to apply and easy to remove. The exact formula for this market leading system is a secret…..but we can reveal that some of the ingredients include pine kernel and orange peel extracts. These ingredients, plus others, provide the perfect balance of strength and durability allowing for a healthy and easy removal.

 Racoon Micro- Wefts
This exciting Micro-weft system enables you to achieve glamorous hair in less than an hour! Renowned for giving celebrities their luscious lengths.
The Racoon Micro-wefts unique taping technique allows you to re-use your weft pieces time and time again. This gives your clients fantastic hair for a minimal cost.
We at Racoon continue to believe in quality and comfort of our extensions, using our premium quality, with zero damage, zero stress to the hair.
A full head of wefts can be applied within 1 hour and can then be worn by the client for between 2-4 weeks. The wefts can be removed and re-applied using Racoon bond header tape.
The hair used on the weft is of premium quality – root point correct, cuticle intact, it can take semi-permanent non peroxide colour and can be styled using hot appliances. The wefts are all 45cm (18”) long and available in a range of colours..
A full head is made up of 32 individual pieces and it is possible to mix and blend the colours to achieve highlighted and low lighted looks. |
